Karen Heaton
- Director
Karen was a gymnast as a child, but her “little girl dream” was to someday become a cheerleader – dancing on the sidelines like the girls in all the football games she watched with her dad. That dream was realized and she cheered and competed for 3 years in high school. She went on to coach and assist for several high school teams and began judging local competitions and tryouts. In college, she and her twin sister bought their first dance studio where she headed up the cheer division. Years later, they branched out and began directing statewide dance and cheer competitions as well. Karen also spent countless weekends traveling nationwide as an All-Star Cheerleading Judge for American Championships. Karen then had the privilege of dancing for the Arena Football League (AFL) as part of the Utah Blaze Football Franchise. During that time, she was also selected as an Assistant Choreographer for the Dream Team during the Arena Bowl in Las Vegas. Upon moving to Texas, Karen began teaching cheer and dance classes from her home and built up a loyal following. Karen is excited to welcome you all to the “Studio family”!
Morgan Botello
- Beginning Cheer, Angels Cheerleading Competition Team & Tumbling
Morgan was born and raised in central Texas where the entire town and those surrounding looked forward to Friday night lights. Her admiration for cheerleading started while attending her older brothers football games, as just a small girl. Once her time finally came to try out, she took full advantage and always put in 110%. She earned a spot on the cheer squad from the 7th grade to senior year! After the 8th grade, she joined her first all-star competition team. Being on two teams was tough but so worth the extra work. She has earned multiple championship titles, sported many championship jackets, and kissed numerous championship metals and trophies! She says there is no feeling like running through the tunnel and yelling the first cheer of the night, or running onto the mat and leaving all you’ve got in front of the judges.
